Motocross Cycles Motocross Collector Book Review

Here's a nice piece of American  Motocross History, The book is titled Motocross Cycles  (Cruisin Series) by S.X. Carser
 1992 48 pages

This book is geared grade school kids and the text is just basic stuff explaining Motocross. The great thing about this book is it's loaded with really nice clear bright photos of the most colorful era in motocross.

The book includes some great photos of Pro Circuit history. Before Ryan Villopoto and Ben Townley before Ivan Tedesco, Grant Langston and even Ricky Carmichael. Pro Circuit under the banner of Team Peak and riding Hondas emerged onto the motocross scene with astounding force! Dominating both the East and West Indoor SX Series. With 4 young guns that included Jeremy McGrath who would reach superstar status. Racing on the West Coast are Jeremy McGrath and Steve Lamson. Racing on the East Coast are Brian Swink and Jeromy Buehl.

The book is 6 1/2 " by 9"  and most all the posted pictures are full page pictures in the book With out a doubt the early 1990's where the most bright and colorful era in motocross the hot pinks and florescent colors were a sight to see at a Pro races where riders wore new gear every moto. Of course, for the average guy the gear only looked like that for one or maybe two washings.

The book breifly explaining the rules of Motocross and the sanctioning bodies of the AMA and the FIM. Then moves to the meat of the book the American Motocross scene, the real story for the collector is the images this book captures.

With many more images then shown in this review and every one of high quality this book is truly a  worthy addition to any motocross memorabilia collection. The fact that all the photos are of professional racing and some of the photos cover the rookie season of  Motocross Icon Jeremy McGrath and some really nice examples of Pro Circuit Team Peak make this a truly nice piece of history.
