Pro Circuit
is the most powerful and recognized motocross Performance Company in the world today.
The Corona, California based company was founded in 1978 by performance wizard and one time
desert racing pro Mitch Payton. In early 90’s Mitch would
rewrite the book on fielding a
successful motocross team. With early success with Custom-tuned exhaust pipes and silencers
then moving to suspension, it did not take long for the Pro Circuit brand to start racking
up championships. |

Pro Circuit
under the banner of Team Peak Pro Circuit emerged onto the motocross
scene with astounding force! Dominating both the East and
West Indoor SX Series. With 4 young guns that included Jeremy McGrath who
would reach superstar status. Racing on the West Coast are Jeremy McGrath and
Steve Lamson.

Pro Circuit
phenomenal racing success rekindled Mitch's competitive fires, so in early 1990 he set Pro Circuit's sights on winning a
national motocross championship. A prize that at the time was thought to be exclusively reserved for the Big Four.
Require serious financing. Mitch securing a corporate sponsor at a time when corporate sponsors barely recognize motocross.

Branding 101
At a time when it was hard for a causal fan or spectator to tell the difference between a team Honda rider
from a Honda Privateer out on the track.
Pro Circuit riders with their matching gear and bikes redefined what a motocross team was.

Other then a very brief period when Moto-X Fox (Fox Racing) team riders wore the same orange and yellow gear did a non-factory team
receives so much positive exposure and brand recognition . In addition, they did not just look good. They WERE GOOD In 1991, Mitch
and a team of relatively unknown southern California motocross racers (including a kid named Jeremy McGrath) contested the AMA's
supercross series under the Peak Antifreeze, Pro Circuit and Honda banners. Six months later, that team swept the 125 East and West
supercross championships!

In the 1991 East Coast Supercross Series, Brian won 5, took second ! in 2, and placed 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th
in the other races. With those finishes, he clinched the East Coast Supercross title over his teammate, Jeromy Buehl. by 36 points.
